The purpose of the study was to study the existing curriculum and instructional model for general education subjects in the Thai universities and abroad, to study the general education contents that have been taught in Rajabhat Universities whether they follow the guidelines of the National Education Act B.E. 2542 in Section 23 and 24, and to develop an integrated curriculum and instructional model for general education subjects in Rajabhat Universities
Data were collected by documentation analysis, and answering the questionnaires. Four sample groups were asked. They were the Rajabhat Universities' council, the curriculum's administrators, the general education instructors, and the students. The research processes comprised analyzing and synthesizing the concerned documents, setting and editing the proposed questionnaires before sending for sampling.
The results of the study showed that the Rajabhat Universities' council, the curriculum's administrators, the general education instructors, and the students expressed in every item the aspiration of the desire of the students' characteristics, the philosophy and the objectives of the general education curriculum, the general education administration, its structure, the requirement, the credit system, the qualification of the general education instructors, the general education subject content, the general education learning instruction, the learning resources, the administration, and the integrated general education curriculum at a high satisfaction.
The model of integrated general education curriculum was drafted by the analyzing and synthesizing from the questionnaires, rectified by experts, model modifying and then, to present the integrated general education subject for Rajabhat Universities.
The result of the model showed that it was composed of the four main principles; integration in the desirability of the students' characteristics, the general education curriculum components, the general education administration and the general education learning instruction.
