The Student Advice Service
The Student Advice Service is an information and advice service consisting of four sabbatical officers and OUSU's Student Advisors. You can contact us confidentially and privately. We deal with anything from accommodation to problems with your supervisor, mental health, and changing course. To get in contact, email advice@ousu.org or go to www.ousu.org/welfare/SAS/.

Write for the Oxford Guide to Careers
Calling all budding writers! Would you like to see your name in print?
Oxford University Student Union (OUSU) and The Careers Service are recruiting for student writers to contribute to our impending 'Oxford Guide to Careers'. This guide will replace all other guides in 2012 and will be distributed to all penultimate and final year undergraduate and postgraduate students, direct to their colleg in October 2012.
We believe it is important that this Guide is truly student-led and would like to recruit and budinng writers and journalists to source and write the alumni profiles that will be featured in the Guide. All those who contribute will be credited in the Guide; will have a chance to work with numerous alumni; and will act as ambassadors for the project.

Teaching Awards: The Winners
The winners of the OUSU Teaching Awards have been announced
Thanks to everyone who nominated, we had 330 nominations with over 400 students participating. All the winners and shortlisted candidates are detailed over at the Teaching Awards website: teachingawards.ousu.org. All students who nominated will be invited to the awards ceremony in Michaelmas.

Freshers' Fair is the event of 0th week Michaelmas Term. Packed with stalls showing the best, biggest and weirdest of Oxford's student life, it's got something for everyone.
So if you're the Treasurer or Chair of one of the University's many clubs and societies and want the opportunity to attract new members who share a passion for what you do, then make sure you're there. Stall numbers are strictly limited so ensure you don't miss out by booking early.

Stewarding
Want to work Freshers' Fair? Paid positions available.
Freshers' Fair could not take place without our Student Stewards who ensure the event runs safely and smoothly.
We are currently recruiting 8 Student Stewards to work alongside our external event staff to form a committed team to staff the event and welcome the thousands of visitors who will travel through the fair every hour.
Applicants must be available for the duration of the fair as these will be paid positions.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in your student union, boost your CV and meet new friends whilst sampling everything the fair has to offer.
